LHBA UNITED TEAM PLAY
We are a developmental and competitive basketball team play program. The focus is on improving player skills and basketball knowledge in a team play setting. The program has a progressive level of play based on skill and team competitiveness. Play will be made up of league games, local tournaments, regional tournaments and national circuits based on team level. Our goal is to develop each athlete so they will be able to contribute to their school team or advance to play in college if that is their goal.
Team tryouts occur four times a year.Tryout dates will be announced 3-4 weeks in advance. Team play program is supplemented by Jr. NBA 3 on 3 which takes place in the summer and Jr. NBA 5 on 5 which takes place in the winter. Please review the descriptions of LHBA team play divisions and the requirements then register for the opportunity to join a LHBA United team!

JR. NBA 3 ON 3 LEAGUE!
3 on 3 Basketball is the fastest growing version of the game in the World! With the addition of 3 on 3 in the summer Olympic games, people around the globe are catching on to how exciting and fast paced this sport is. At the Larry Hughes Basketball Academy, we have teamed up with the Jr. NBA to create a dynamic 8 week long 3 on 3 league that is focused on player experience and development. All players register as an individual and are placed onto age-appropriate teams to create balanced teams to make every game as competitive as possible. To begin the season each athlete will participate in a Jr. NBA Combine then drafted to their respected team. The following six weeks of league play will be a combination of learning team concepts, executing those concepts during gameplay, and competing to bring home the championship trophy at the end of the session. Our goal is to provide each athlete the opportunity to grow as an individual athlete, developing their basketball IQ and promoting their growth on the court. 3 on 3 is a great opportunity for athletes to learn how to space the floor on both offense and defense while having more opportunities for touches on the basketball.
